Liz and Joel first met when they sat next to each other in med school. They are avid WVU Mountaineer fans and enjoy spending time with each other. Joel proposed to Liz at the Winter Walk of Lights in Roanoke during Christmas time and she said - YES!
Through a million COVID changes these two planned the perfect fall wedding day. Their colors consisted of an autumn theme with burgundy colors and gold accents. The wedding ceremony was held at the Coopers Rock Overlook and the reception was held at The George Washington Hotel.
Liz's Justin Alexander dress from Bridal Beginning was exquisite! The beading and the sleeves were absolute perfection! Exquisite Creations by Joel also did a phenomenal job with all of the bouquets. I loved the combination of greenery, burgundy, ivory, and pink flowers.
My favorite moments of the day were the father of the bride's heartfelt speech and Liz and Joel's sparkler exit. (The DJ had to light the sparklers with a torch that he just happened to have in his truck.) Everything turned out beautifully - from the venue to the weather - and I am so happy to have been a part of their special day!
