Moriah & Patrick's story began in August of 2012, the summer going into sophomore year of high school. Moriah decided to host friends over to her home for a bonfire. They shared mutual friends and Patrick was invited to come over through these friends. His first encounter with Moriah was asking whether she had a phone charger so that he could charge his phone. Moriah and Patrick began a close friendship from that point on and he asked her to be his date for homecoming that fall. They continued a close friendship throughout high school and both ran on the cross country team. Moriah ran for Canon Mac, while Patrick ran for Peters (to this day Moriah’s personal 5k record is a half a second faster than his). They have many great memories from high school ranging from completing their first half marathon to both working at Dairy Queen. When college came around Moriah went to Waynesburg University, and Patrick attended Michigan State University. Eventually they started dating in 2016 after many years of friendship. They both love to experience new things together - whether it be hiking in Virginia and exploring Hawaii, going to dinners at the melting pot, or having fun weekends at Waynesburg or Michigan State, it has never been short of a good time. On November 30 2019, knowing in his heart Moriah was the one for him, Patrick took Moriah to Mellon Park downtown and asked her to marry him. Afterwards they ate dinner at the Duquesne Club surrounded by their families - and they rest is history!
Moriah and Patrick originally planned to have their wedding reception at the Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh but like most couples this year they had to figure out a back-up plan instead because of COVID-19. They decided to move everything to their family's stunning property in Ligonier, Pennsylvania. The wedding ceremony and reception were both held in elegant tents on the property. The bridesmaids wore light prink dresses and held beautiful pink and white bouquets. I love that they incorporated their "best dog" in the wedding - SO CUTE!!
Their wedding cake by Tasty Bakery was incredibly gorgeous and the Studio E band was a blast and kept everyone on the dance floor all night! I really enjoyed working with Wiley Wedding Films and highly recommend them if you are looking for a videographer! The night ended with "Fairytale" by T-Swift and a sparkler send-off! It was an amazing day and I am so incredibly grateful to have been a part of it!
