West Virginia University Wedding | Erickson Alumni Center Wedding | Alyssa & Daniel

Alyssa and Daniel met while attending college at West Virginia University where they both majored in mechanical engineering. After dating for a few years they decided to get married! Since the world was on lockdown due to the pandemic, they legally married themselves by self solemnization (self uniting marriage) in Colorado. If you have not heard of this, it simply removes the complication of having to hire an officiant. Pennsylvania along with a couple other states also allow self uniting marriages.


After a change of venue, Alyssa and Daniel decided to get married at the Erickson Alumni Center in Morgantown, West Virginia. Their wedding color palette consisted of teal and dark gray and Alyssa wore a beautiful white gown from David's Bridal. I loved all of the special touches including how Alyssa included the memory of her mom and her Dad's heartfelt speech at the reception. It was truly a beautiful, sentimental day and I am so happy to have been a part of it. Congratulations to both of them!
